Today's quest takes you back to Arthurian times to the Avilion sim. Be sure to wear either a long gown (women) or a suit (men). Armor is also okay, but you will not be allowed in if you aren't properly attired.

Spend a little time soaking up the atmosphere and then try writing a short ballad about your experience. A ballad is a particular kind of verse (usually a song) that tells a story. Here are some general characteristics:
- Ballads are often told in first person
- Ballads often have stanzas that are four lines long
- Ballads usually have a rhyming pattern. For example:
ABAC
AABB
ACBC
- Ballads often repeat lines and/or whole stanzas (see example below)
- A popular technique in ballads is to ask a question in one stanza and answer it in the next.
- Another popular techique is to have dialog between people in the ballad.
Example of a ballad:
Cat's in the Cradle by Harry Chapin
My child arrived just the other day,
He came to the world in the usual way.
But there were planes to catch, and bills to pay.
He learned to walk while I was away.
And he was talking 'fore I knew it, and as he grew,
He'd say, "I'm gonna be like you, dad.
You know I'm gonna be like you."
And the cat's in the cradle and the silver spoon,
Little boy blue and the man in the moon.
"When you coming home, dad?"
"I don't know when,
But we'll get together then.
You know we'll have a good time then."
You get the idea. Note that you don't have to include music, but if you are thinking of a particular song I'd love to know what it is. Have fun!
