Save the date to attend the 2009 Poetry Quest Awards Ceremony on Sunday, May 10 at noon on Storybook Island. The Poetry Quest was held in honor of National Poetry Month and the writers who participated really knocked my socks off. The experience was also great for me because it really got me thinking about how to best engage writers in the experience of writing through interaction with others and/or with elements in the sims. This was truly a learning experience all around.
As one person said, "I am drained, spent, exhausted, enervated, enthralled, inspired, engaged, involved, and all that other good teaching-learning stuff! Thank you so much for conducting this Poetry Quest! My husband, of course, is also delighted that it is finally over! He quickly learned that, when I came home from work, to just throw food at me and step back!"
So...if you would like to see and hear the results of all this hard work, save Saturday, May 10th at noon to attend the awards ceremony and reading. You will also have the chance to stroll through and enjoy the new Poetry Garden Gallery on Storybook.
